Can somebody tell me WTF this is cuz there is no info on the site. Like what do they win if they win the vote? A cracker jack prize perhaps? And another thing…why is the not so prettiest girl winning? Notice how i didn’t say ugliest? Cuz i’m trying to be nicer. Not that she is even ugly…but she is def not the prettiest….actually none of the girls are particularly cute but that’s just me. Apparently one of the girls is Vanness’ sis. So there you have it….vote for Van Ness from F4′s sister so she can win a yet to be determined prize and be able to tell her friends that she won a beauty contest with no real beauties. hahahah. j/k.

Hey JSAKA, and everyone else,
I’m Shirley, one of the finalists competing in the Miss Royal Pageant. I can try to answer your questions to the best of my abilities, if you have anymore, feel free to shoot.
First of all, this pageant is in its first year of operation. You can discern most of its goals from the admittedly flawed, but still coherent, English on its site, http://www.missroyal.com. What the site doesn’t mention is that several of the judges are directors from Hollywood as well as Asia and this pageant is meant to provide its contestants with exposure to promote or start their acting careers.
Secondly, yes, one of the girls is Vanness Wu’s sister, and has his public support, any nosy person surfing through google should be able to figure out who it is.
There is a prize for winning the online section of the competition. First of all, the overall leader with the most votes will get a custom designed website to promote herself and her career. Second of all, for every 100 votes a contestant gets, she will be awarded a bonus point in the final pageant, so it doesn’t hurt for everyone to get lots of votes and that’s probably how you ended up with the link!
I’m sorry that you don’t find any of the final contestants “particularly cute” however I hope you know that Brittany Chen was Miss Asia USA first runner up and several of the other girls have had extensive pageant experience, such as Ayako, YaNan (who is attending the pageant all the way from China), Jasmine, Rey, and Angelina. Also, in this day and age, beauty pageants are about alot more than beauty, for one thing, money is a big deal(haha, sad but true), and then of course talent, creativity and personal presentation. So, perhaps what you feel we lack in appearance, we might make up for otherwise. I invite you to attend any one of our rehearsals to meet the girls yourself, and then make your own judgement.
If you are still dissapointed with the caliber of the pageant, I encourage you to nominate those girls you feel are worthy for future rounds, but until next year, this is the pick!

so, best of luck on your endeavors. i hope miss royal opens some doors for you girls. just be realistic about what you can achieve from being apart of it. oh, and make sure you avoid that casting couch. trust me. i got talked into that once and my ass still hurts. now, i can’t even fart properly. instead of a “thhhhhbt”, it’s more of a “whoosh”.

hi shirley. thanks for the response, but how did you girls find out about this pageant. it seems so low key and almost like a scam in my opinion. i hope you didn’t pay no more than $20 to enter if at all because i heard some pageants are designed to scam hopeful contestants leaving them dry in the end. do you have any contracts and such? I’m only asking to look out for you lovely ladies.

Of course Brittany Chen’s still in high school; she’s in my class at WhitneyHS. Girl is as close to a golden child as you can get: tall, slim, gorgeous, and insanely intelligent. And as much as we would love to hate her for being all of the aforementioned, she is just so damn Nice. And that is why I am voting for Brittany Chen.
