Los Angeles JYP CONCERT – performances by JYP, Wonder Girls, 2PM, G-Soul, and J. Lim

Sorry for the late post about our AWESOME experience at the JYP Concert.

My roommate and I are big Korean music fanatics. Last November, my roommate was searching the net for his favorite girl group, Wonder Girls, and saw that they will be performing in Los Angeles. He got so excited, he started to send a bunch of texts to his friends to go with him. He knew I wouldn’t say no, and he was right. We purchased our ticket, and have been waiting impatiently for it to come.

The day finally came last week, and the show started off with G Soul and J Lim. G Soul I thought was way too skinny, but really good. I was not expecting him to sound like that. J Lim sounded good, but she needed a better song to really grab our attention with her. She did not leave a great impression with me.

Here come Wonder Girls next and they were AWESOME. They performed songs from all their albums, including “Tell Me”, “Irony”, and “Nobody”. The transitions between each song was smooth, and they sounded great live. Sohee, who is not known for her singing, wasn’t too bad. She has definitely improved throughout the year.

Here is their performance of “Nobody” at the Wiltern.

The Wonder Girls took a break and out came 2PM. I am not too familiar with them because they are fairly new and do not have many songs out, but they are cuties. While I was watching the show, I was thinking, “why can’t there be cute guys like that in LA?” Here is a picture of the 7 guys and the song they are known for “10 out of 10″.

JYP ended the concert, and that man can sing. He sang some of his songs, as well as songs he wrote for other artist. He pulled one lucky girl onto the stage and tied her up. The bed rose up and he got onto it and sang to her. I wonder what her parents would have thought if they saw that. Here is a pic of him right before he got on the bed with her.

I am very glad I got to attend this concert and my respect for JYP and his artists has definately grown. I hope they continue to have Korean concerts in LA, and I will definately be attend as many as I can.

Next week on March 21, there will be the Victory Concert, another Korean concert, at the Nokia Theatre in Downtown LA, but I was not able to attend because I was not able to convince anyone to go since my friends aren’t familiar with the artists that will be there. If you do attend, please let me know how all the groups are live. My next Korean concert will be the Korean Music Festival in May, that I have been attending the last few years at the Hollywood Bowl. I always have a blast at that concert and you should definately join me.

Save me on Facebook, and we can chat about Koream Music…
