GO Travel Diaries: Seoul, Korea – JSAKA
Since Summer is now here, many of us will be travelling. Although I’m only planning on going to CABO this Summer, I have been to quite a few places in the past. I’ll be posting my travel journals online about once a week so you can get a first hand view of what to expect should you be travelling to a certain city. First up is Seoul, South Korean. It’s been about a year since we went and that was my 3rd time visiting there (can you tell I like the place?) hahahaha. Enjoy!
Well after 5 years of talking about it and some failed planning, we finally made it out to Asia again for Part Deux. Actually i got back a couple weeks ago but was in major depression from the jetlag and from missing the good times from the trip. Does anbody else get depression after Asia trips? Like you feel this sense of BLAH for no known reason. This happened to me last time too. ANYWAY, this trip featured appearances from Vork, Shien, Bry, Brad, Vanimal, and yours truly. I remember when i got back from the last trip back in 2002, i said i was gonna settle down and live the domesticated life. Never happened. hahaha. Our goals for this trip: See the sights, party every night, and meet tons of chicks. I mean this is probably our last big GUYS trip (i hope not but it’s probably true). On the menu for this trip: Seoul, Shanghai, Phuket, and BANGkok.
“I get frequent flier miles from my stewardess chick”……….Well it started off right away. I usually have a crush on a stewardess from every KAL/Asiana flight that i’ve been on and this one was no different. Big difference between American airlines and Asian airlines. American (avg age 40 years old, white, not good looking) vs Asian (avg age 22, asian, slender, cute). I mean it’s RIDICULOUS. Anyway, i’m left speechless by the stewardess and can only smile and nod my head like a moron. About 7 hours into the flight, me and Van spring into action. We end up hanging out in the galley, peppering her with all kinds of questions. Finally after 2 hours of standing there, the manager politely asks us to return to our seats because they have to do work. haahahaha. BUT, i scored the number and email addy so that’s all that counts. Finally land at Incheon.
Whew i’m glad i didn’t pack that cow, pig, or rooster in my suitcase. NO!! NO!! Korea is a very modern country but there are still some overt signs of racism here. Check out this gas station photo:
Korean dude in a turban. hahaha. Anyway we didn’t do much during the day. Went to COEX a lot or Galleria and checked out all the cute cute cute chicks. I’ve been to a lot of Asian countries and i have to say that hands down Korea has the best looking girls. Sure, most of it is through plastic surgery and sure they smell of garlic BUT damn….when 1 out of ever 5 girls you see on the street are hot, how can you complain? Sign me up for Korean language classes and ship me over there asap!
Met up with some Lambdas on our second night in Kangnam and Saturday night we hit up the hot new booking Club I. I gotta say that the booking clubs this time around arent’ as good as they were back in 2002. I think it’s lost it’s flava. I thought the regular club CIRCLE was better.
Me and Youn at Club I.
Jackie says “2 Thumbs Up” but why does he only have ONE up?
At the Johnnie Walker Blue release party. hahahaha. j/k. This was taken at 6am after a LONG night of partying at Circle. Notice how we all look like douchebags because we are all wearing striped shirts. Look at my stripeddddd shirt….look at my stripeddddddddd shirttt!
COEX courtyard under the big cell phone.
Korea was fun this time but not as fun as 2002. I’m always down to go again though. hahaha.
