Alien Dessert, Anybody?

14 December 2009 No Comment

This is Julia Child’s pear tart. I’ve never seen the movie “Julie and Julia” but I’m pretty sure if I did, I’d want to reenact some part of that movie…like how I drove even nuttier than I usually do after watching “Fast And Furious : Tokyo Drift”, started stalking the shadows because the 1/4 Japanese in me decided we’re super ninjai too after “Ninja Assassin” and, last but not least, when I ate it as a little girl trying to do some crazy spinning kung fu kick after I watched some crazy Chinese drama set in the time of Flying Tiger, Hidden Dragon.

I’m sure this is very tasty. I personally love pears, almond flavored ANYTHING and fruit tarts…but am I the only one who thinks it looks kind of like alien larvae all meeting in the middle with their mouths open?

Maybe I need to stop watching the 2005 version of King Kong because I’m suddenly reminded of the part where all the guys are in that valley beating off those crazy huge, man-eating bug things.

Yeah. Those things. Ugh. Gross. * shudder *

O.O

I have super bad heebie jeebies now. That was, by far, the sickest part of the movie and by “sickest”, I don’t mean it in a positive way.

P.S. – If you’re the author of that particular post, please don’t think I’m bashing on your epic pear cutting skills and fruit tart design. I’m really not. My mind simply runs amok in very weird ways.
