Joaquin Phoenix Weird Behavior on David Letterman

Joaquin Phoenix

Did any of you see David Letterman last night?  If you did then you were treated to perhaps the most bizzarre behavior of a celebrity on a talk show ever!  The Unabomber, i mean…Joaquin Phoenix was on with Dave and let me tell you…B-I-Z-A-R-R-E.  The guy walks out in dark sunglasses and a heavy beard looking nothing like the Mr. Phoenix that well know and love.

Joaquin was DEFINITELY on some kind of drug.  He was barely coherent throughout the whole interview and seemed disinterested on being on the show.  I look forward to finding out exactly WHAT the guy was on.  Maybe had an overdose of Vicodin?  Who knows.  Well David Letterman, being the witty comedian that he is, very soon realized what mental state Joaquin was in and quickly started with the verbal jabs.  Here’s my favorites:

David Letterman:  “ummm…what can you tell us about your days with the Unabomber”

David Letterman:  “So why have you given up acting?”
Joaquin Phoenix:  “Mmm…I don’t know”
David Letterman:  ” I can see that you’ve given it some thought”

And to top it off at the end of the interview he quips, “and Joaquin i’m sorry you couldn’t be here tonight”.  hahahaha.  Man the WHOLE interview was just one big ball of awkwardness.  Hopefully Mr. Phoenix drops into the nearest rehab center soon cuz he definitely needs it!

Here’s the clip:

So what do you guys and gals think?  Was it a HOAX for publicity, has he mentally fallen off the deep end, or is he just on drugs and in need of rehab?

DJ Khaled Bentley Car Chase and Suicide!

Khaled Bentley

Only in LA ladies and gentlemen.  Not only do we have a car chase…but it’s a car chase with a $100,000 Bentley car!  And NO you idiots, it WASN’T Chris Brown.  I mean WHY would Chris Brown run anyway?  It’s not like he KILLED somebody like OJ did.  THINK people!

So apparently the person running from Johnny Law tonight was none other than DJ Khaled from Miami based Terror Squad.  You heard the song right?  “We Taking Overrrr”.  This dominated the news tonight and while normally I am very annoyed that news stations take time to cover these dumb car chases, I was intrigued cuz this dude was driving a Bentley!  And you know WHY we all watch these car chases right?  Nobody says it but we all know why.  We want to see a big ass shootout at the end and have everybody die in a hail of bullets (or is that just me?).

Well people got their wish tonight (kinda) as DJ Khaled apparently shot himself to death in the car.  I mean WOW.  You’re a semi famous rap star and you decide to take you own life?  Shiet must’ve been HECTIC for this guy.  Another outrageous story in a week full of them.  Chris Brown beats up on Rihanna and Alex Rodriguez on steroids to name a few.  I wonder what’s next!  RIP DJ Khaled.

Khaled Bentley

Looks like DJ Khaled is fond of white luxury cars.

Khaled Bentley

UPDATE:  Ok apparently it WAS NOT DJ Khaled after all and the LA Times is reporting that it was a Pakistani businessman.  So all of you people who enjoy CRAPPY Hip Hop can now breathe easy, DJ Khaled is indeed ALIVE!  And also the pic above is a PHANTOM not a Bentley.  I apologize…i drive a crappy Honda so bare with me please.  Also can i just give PROPS to whoever this dude is.  I mean when you think about it….wearing SUNGLASSES while driving a car at night?  Have you ever tried this before?  I have and it’s damn near impossible to drive.  No wonder he was driving so SLOW!

Pharrell Williams on LIFE and being HIM

I saw this clip from Nylon TV with the subject being Pharrell Williams of N.E.R.D. and Neptunes. He’s another business mogul of our generation and someone I have much respect for. It’s interesting that his philosophy is reflected in his business empire and also an example of our generation where we are defined NOT by simply only ONE thing. This is evident in how my father’s generation and his philosophy on business compared to my own take. There is so much I want to do, and no matter how vast and different the fields maybe…to me there is always some synergy that can be leveraged with all these ventures…with that being fashion, on-line media, marketing, branding, club promotions. Clearly, Pharrell Williams has achieved that with his merger of being a musician, producer, fashion, spokesman and designer for LV, etc. However, he refuses to be defined by one thing…and amidst all this ventures he still lets his heart guide. Interesting!

Funny Commercial

I saw this ad for T-mobile Ad Campaign and thought it was pretty clever. Works well with their ad motto. You think people would be interested if we did a Go Pro version of this in Alhambra or Diamond Bar at the 99 Ranch Market?
