Wow what a trip. Took me a week to have enough time to do this entry plus collect the six GIGS worth of photos that we all took. The Great Cabo Trip 2008…….2 bachelor parties and 30 guys = debauchery at its finest. Granted I CANNOT post the real GOOD photos that we took but I pulled out some PG rated pics to show on the blog.
DAY 1 (Wed) - Since we were paying more than 5 bills for the flight out there, 6 of us decided to go early on Wednesday to get the most out of the trip. It was the Upsilon All Stars (me, Vork, Scottie Rock, Shien, Biggie Bry) and Steve. The trip started off GREAT for me cuz for the FIRST time ever I actually had the WHOLE ROW to myself on the airplane. I love Alaska Airlines! That was the BEST plane ride ever. I slept like a baby the whole way down to Cabo:

Touched down around 1:30 in the afternoon and took a van to our condo. Shien booked a pretty nice place for us that was a great price! NOT as nice as the ME where the other half of the group was staying at but for the money it was a great deal. My ONLY complaint was that our room seems like it was build for a MIDGET. Check out me in the doorway of our bathroom.
Hilarious yes. Mike Chu christened our condo HOBBITVILLE. hahahaha. Decided to head to the beach for margaritas and ended up at Mango Deck restaurant. They were having a contest for a beer bucket prize so my mates decided to nominate me to compete. I found out once i was up there that it was a LA BAMBA singing contest…in SPANISH. “FACK”, i’m thinking to myself cuz i HATE speaking in front of people and we definitely had an audience. Luckily I already had about 4 drinks in me PLUS i had to represent for all the shy and meek Asians out there (yes WE are known for that and WE definitely live up to that rep).
.
So yeah…guess who won? THIS GUY. hahahaha. I can’t complain about FREE alcohol!
.
Headed back to the condo after our winnings, lounged at the pool/spa, ate shrimp tacos, and walked out to the El Squid Roe nightclub.
Day 2 (Thurs) - Ate shrimp tacos/shrimp quesadillas AGAIN for lunch. I forgot the name of the place but it’s right down the street from the Marina Del Sol Condos. We tried this beer MODELO NEGRO and that shiet is GOOD when it’s ice cold.
.
After lunch, we decided to hit up El Chileno bay on the Sea of Cortez to check out the beach there. It was a ”locals only” beach so all the Mexicans were staring at us like we were aliens or something. What you never seen a group of Asian guys before? hahaha. The beach was BEAUTIFUL! I felt like i was starring in my very own Corona commercial. hahaha. It was THAT nice! Kinda reminded me of Waiamea Bay in Oahu except it was all Mexicans.

Spent the rest of the day there and then took a taxi back to the hotel. The rest of the crew landed so we had our full crew of 30 rollin deep. Met up with everybody for dinner at The Office on the beach where we proceeded to get DRUNK. Tequila shots were the order of the night. This shot is hilarious! Brian looks like a little baby being fed by his momma:

As you can see below, the shots didn’t go down smoothly. Mike Chu looks like he’s about to pass out. It was CUERVO for christ sake! Just SMELLING Cuervo makes me want to barf:

After dinner at The Office, we headed out to El Squid Roe again. We all had fun but some people had a better night than others. hehehehe.

Day 3 (Fri) – Was supposed to go ATV’ing but I couldnt’ wake up (I guess that’s what happens when you go to sleep at 6 in the morning). Ended up at the ME Cabo pool. Man, I haven’t seen that much silicone since Vegas. hahahaha. It seems like the REQUISITE to be at the ME pool was to have fake tits. It was crazy! Good thing I had my trusty sunglasses on. hahahaha.
Met some cool peeps at the pool. Everybody was all curious about where 30 Asian guys came from? They were dumbfounded when we said we were from LA. hahahaha.

Stayed at the pool till 6 but then had to go back to work on the Cabana Club guestlist. Boo. Dinner that night was at this restaurant called Mi Casa. Dude it was SO HOT inside. You would think they would invest in some kind of AIR CONDITIONING. I literally wilted in the heat and didn’t really enjoy my meal. Blegh.

I was thinking about going home and not going out for the night (yes i know…pussy). Drank a liter of water and took a short 30 min nap in Joon’s room and I was back ready to go. hahahah. Partied at the Passions nightclub inside the ME. Lots of blondes from OC. Yay yuhhhh. We decided to head into town around 1am for more action. Ummm….night was a blur after that. It wore Steve out though. This is when we got back at 5am. Puahahaha.

That guy just falls asleep in random places. He slept in that position the rest of the night. hahahaha.
Day 4 (Sat) - Headed over to the ME hotel again. Shien and I decided to hop into the ocean even though the sign said “PELIGRO”. Danger! hahahaha. The waves were hitting pretty hard that day and it was a struggle to tread water but it was FUN! After, just laid out on the ME lounges while some of the other guys decided to go scootering around town.

Dinner that night was at Pancho’s. I had the chipotle shrimp dish. Man it was GOOD. Best meal of the trip. Headed to Zoo York nightclub after and ran into Nancy from Friction who was there for a bachelorette party. Small world. hahaha.

Ended the night at Squid Roe (yes we love this club). It was friggin PACKED that night. Craziness:

We headed home around 4 after eating at the taco truck. Mmmm.
Day 5 (Sun) – Our day to leave. =( So saaaaaaad. We were rudely awakened at 11am and told we had to vacate. Since I had gone to sleep at around 7am, I was NOT a happy camper. Packed up our crap real fast and wheeled out our luggage to the pool. Spent the rest of the day swimming and lounging with the fellas. I DID NOT want to leave but alas our flight was booked for 5:30. Took a taxi to the airport and then left Cabo.

This was definitely a GREAT trip. I don’t think I’ve ever travelled with that many people. It was like a Alpha Chapter Lambda Phi Epsilon Convention. hahaha. Was really cool to party and chill with everybody since we don’t get to see each other as often as we did in school. I dont’ know if I’ll ever be back to Cabo. Too crazy for me. I’m glad I had the chance to go there though. It was definitely an experience!
